Official Rules

1. HOW TO ENTER: Between July 21, 2008 at 12:00 AM (CDT) and September 20, 2008 at 11:59 PM (CDT), go to www.unitedcargo.com or www.cargoportalservices.com and complete a booking for a shipment with United Cargo including an air waybill number. Select “Enter now” on the booking confirmation page, then complete and submit the pop-up entry form for each booking during the eligible period. This will automatically enter you in the Sweepstakes. Shipments must be tendered between July 21 and September 20, 2008 with cargo originating in the U.S. from a U.S.-based United Cargo or United-approved IATA customer account. Web registration will be required prior to booking and this offer is only valid for online bookings made at www.unitedcargo.com or www.cargoportalservices.com. Entries using macro, script or other forms of automatic entry will be disqualified. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, inaccurate, or mutilated entries. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an online entrant, the prize will be awarded to the authorized account holder of the email address. The "authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person to whom the email address is assigned by an internet service provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Time of receipt of online entry is in accordance with Sponsor's computer. For free entry without booking a reservation, write your full name, address, day and evening phone numbers and date of birth on a 3"x 5" piece of paper and mail to: United Cargo’s eBooking Summer Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 66100, Attn: WHQWM, Chicago, IL  60666. Mail entries must be postmarked by September 20, 2008 and received by September 27, 2008.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who have reached the age of 21 years of age at time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor, its parents, affiliates and subsidiaries, participating advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers (and members of their immediate family and/or those living in the same of household of each such employee) are not eligible.
3. RANDOM DRAWING: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries on or about October 6, 2008 by Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding. Winners will be notified either via phone, e-mail or postal mail, at Sponsor's discretion. Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
4. PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: One (1) Grand Prize: Two round trip economy class tickets from the U.S. to anywhere within the Asia Pacific Region on available routes serviced by United Air Lines, Inc. Approximate retail value of Grand Prize: $2600.00. One (1) Second Place Prize: Two round trip economy class tickets from the U.S. to anywhere within Europe on available routes serviced by United Air Lines, Inc. Approximate retail value of Second Prize: $1700.00. One (1) Third Place Prize: Two round trip economy class tickets within the 48 contiguous United States on available routes serviced by United Air Lines, Inc. Approximate retail value of Third Prize: $900.00. Conditions on All Prizes: Any expenses not mentioned herein are the sole responsibility of the winner, including but not limited to any ground transportation, taxes, surcharges, baggage fees, and incidental charges.
5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: No transfer, assignment or substitution of a prize, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize for an item of equal or greater value in the event an advertised prize is unavailable. All federal, state, local and provincial laws and regulations apply. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and where legally permissible a Publicity Release within 7 days following the date of first attempted notification. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its agencies to use winner’s name, photo and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering Sweepstakes, winner agrees to hold Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or by acceptance or use of the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize.
6. INTERNET: Sponsor is not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, but not the obligation, to select winners from eligible entries received as of the termination date. Sponsors further reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. Caution: Any attempt by a contestant to deliberately damage any Web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the game is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such contestant to the fullest extent of the law.
7. GOVERNING LAW: Except where prohibited by law, all issues concerning the construction, validity and enforcement of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor, shall be construed and governed by the laws of the state of Illinois, without regard to conflicts of law. All suits or claims brought in connection with this Sweepstakes must be brought in a state or federal court in Illinois.
8. WINNERS' LIST: For winners' names, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope to United Cargo, Attention: WHQWM – Winners List Request, 1200 E. Algonquin Road, Elk Grove Township, IL  60007. All requests must be received by October 11, 2008. Winners' list will also be posted at www.unitedcargo.com one week after winner verification.
